Custom Hire has been a fixture on the South Coast for 25 years. In 2025 it changed hands. Here's what that means and who's running it now.
Custom Hire opened in Batemans Bay in 2000. For 25 years it's been the yard tradies, builders and event organisers across the Eurobodalla and Far South Coast have called when they need an excavator, a portable toilet, or any of the dozens of things you only need until the job's done.
In 2025 the business changed hands. Ryan, Cameron and Peter - a local family team - took over the yard, the fleet, and the customers who trust it.
We're not new to the area. For years we've been running Eurobodalla Coast Pumpouts, looking after septic systems for homes and businesses across the same stretch of coast Custom Hire has always served. When the chance came up to take on the hire yard, it was an easy yes. Same customers. Same patch. Same standards.
We're already part of this community. Running Custom Hire is just another way of being useful here.

We're long-term locals, we're based here, and we're staying here. We know the area because we live in it. We know which roads get washed out, which sites get tight, and which weeks of the year everyone needs the same gear.

Honest pricing, clear answers, no hidden surprises. We'll tell you what it costs, when it'll be there, and what's included. If we can't help, we'll tell you that too.
Gear that works.
Well-maintained, current-model machines that turn up ready to do the job. We maintain everything ourselves and we don't send out anything we wouldn't run on our own site.
